New Haul Post

Hello~ Sorry, for disappearing a lot this year , I will try my best to keep this blog more updated when I move onto my second year. On the topic of that, I have already received my results and know that I have passed my exams and can move onto my second year, which of course makes me very happy.

Some shops are having sales such as Zara, H&M, Topshop, my mum is a big fan of shopping at Zara and I know a friend who likes to buy her trousers, I love a lot of Zara's stuff and the fabric and cuts of their clothes are of good quality. However, its out of my budget so when they had this awesome sale recently (probably, its still going). I decided to check it out and I'm sure I saved a bunch of money and bought nice, good quality clothes.

I bought two simple white/cream t-shirts that are very soft but thin enough for hot summer days, a cute burger print and 'worry less' with a glamorous girl printed on. The burger top is shorter length and better suited for high -waisted skirts/shorts or trousers, unless you want to show your mid-driff. Both t-shirts were priced at three pounds and ninety-nine pence (GBP) and were originally 10+.

A cute white and black striped dress/ long -top, depending on your height this could be a dress for you where you can wear tights and pumps but if you are more of my height (166cm), it will be more of a long top, thus I shall wear it with leggings instead. This fabric is thicker but still soft and comfy, this was priced at ten pounds and was originally twenty pounds.

The last two things I purchased from Zara were two jumpers, the white one with a blue "water" effect (that's what I think it looks like), is a batwing style, and is more over-sized. I'm keeping this jumper for casual formal environments or special events, quite thick and cosy and a more tight-fitted black jumper with "Bonjour gold lettering across the jumper" really cute and comfy, great for comfy, casual days.

Besides Zara, I bought a pair of subtle printed black trousers for formal wear and pineapple mid-length skirt. Trousers very comfy but cost a little bit more than my other purchases it was sixteen pounds, but it will be of great use for all formal events and I won't have to always turn to wearing my black dress, I always prefer trousers more, they are more comfy !!! (Sorry, no picture, I think the trouser is just simple black colour and the pattern wont show up on camera anyways).

Pineapple skirt is really comfy, its high waisted and finishes just before my knees, thin fabric, and cute print, it was eight pounds ^_^

I bought a pair of trainer socks (white) with Super Junior printed onto it, from my fairly local Korean supermarket, that sells some K-pop goods, if you don't know. Super Junior is my favourite boy band in K-pop so had to purchase these socks (price is two pounds (?), and I got my sister a A-Pink poster from their Secret Garden concept).

For skincare, I bought La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + cream which I use has my night cream as it contains no SPF, it is a "fresh gel cream" that absorbs really quickly and glides onto the skin really nice, as for the scent, theres a slight smell which I think is quite pleasant and Physiological Micellar Solution with La Roche-Posay thermal spring water (in short, its a cleansing water that can be used to remove face, eyes and lip make up), the gentleness of using a water based make up remover, means I don't sting my eyes so regularly, and skin feels more refresh after using it ^^ thumbs up... sadly, I can't remember the price of the cream but the cleansing water is fifteen pounds, its suitable for sensitive skin.

Coppertone travel sized UV cut milk (60ml) left side (green label) is SPF 27 PA++ and right side (orange label) SPF 50 PA++, oil free, because of the milk texture is more runny than your average sunscreen but absorbs into skin really quickly (my mum bought this for me), on sale buy one get one free, price is one pounds or ninety -nine pence , quite shocked that its so good but at such a cheap price.  I already opened the SPF 50 PA ++ but I will buy one of the green label one, for when I return to uni, to use during the winter.

For make up, I purchased the Rimmel 24 hour Scandaleyes brown gel liner, comes with a brush (but no cap :(), it applies really well and stays put for several eyes ( I do not have oily eyes, just oily t-zone).

I bought Volume 9 Yotsuba manga, the last time I bought a Yotsuba book was when I went to the hospital to have my tonsils removed, and now I am buying this one, to mark the fact that I can move onto second year successfully.

To end this haul post, my sister bought me this cute Floral notebook which was two pounds and fifty pence from a new shop called Hema, I will fill it with things that happened in the past year, and summer... finally, I can make use of those saved train tickets in my wallet ~ I must go now ^^ have a great day.

Byeeeee~

Im back + haul

Ah, its good to finally be back! I'm sorry about my hiatus, the last post was on the fifth of April~ I've been so busy lately. I hope everyone is doing well and is looking forward to the Summer, its time to get those brightly, coloured floral dresses out + other summer clothes, drink ice cold drinks and eat lots of ice cream whilst relaxing in the sun. I thought I'd start with a nice haul post of some things from the last month or so.

New tops and cardigan~!

First, I got three new tops from H&M. Actually, I was very surprised when I received it because the night before my mum washed one of my tops and it was made out of white lace, it somehow shrunk so much in the washing machine that it no longer fitted me and was better suited as a short lace top for my sister. So my mum promised to get me a new one, the one she got me. I actually prefer this, the lace is softer and its long sleeved. Thin fabric suitable for the hot weather but also the cooler weather as you can wear a cardigan over the top.

This horse print t-shirt, features different coloured horses, the long part is slightly longer than the front and the material feels like satin, smooth and silky and super light weight. I really like this top since its sleeveless, I prefer to wear a cardigan with it.

The last top is ...... this super fancy special occasion kind of top, its peach coloured with jewels/diamante/gems sewn onto the shoulder parts of the top. Its really cute and makes any outfit look a bit more fancy. I wore this when I, went to see the Rock Horror Show on the 11th of May for my friend's birthday. It was awesome, I would recommend you to see it too. :)

I got this wooly orange sherbet cardigan from Gilly Hicks, usually I'm not a big fan of this kind of brand but this was discounted so, I was like okay. It has pockets which are really important to me. It frustrates me that women's clothes don't have a lot of deep pockets *grrr...* lol.

Rilakkuma Contacts Case

This is a lens case that I bought for my contacts, its really cute and I've never one like this before. I've seen cartoon and animal ones.

Shoes & blue skirt

I got my first pair of creepers and I'm super happy, the material is more of suede and is a dusty pink in real life. Its heavy and doesn't fit me properly so I'm going to add insoles in. I already have three blisters :( so I will just wait for it to heal before wearing them again.

A cute blue skirt made of thin material perfect for the hot weather, completed with a tan fake leather thin belt.

That's it for today~ I hope you enjoyed this post and comecback to read my future posts. I'll leave you with pictures of food that I've eaten recently (tempura (endless amount) udon, Asian snacks and rice milk haul with my little sister and chicken katsu with rice (it was okay, I prefer the kind with lots of curry sauce).

A special package

My mum's eldest sister, so my auntie sent us (my family) a package, it was filled with Japanese snacks (including two packets of Matcha choco chip cookies), me and my sister already ate a packet when I got home from my shift at Oxfam.

I got some nice things, I think they are Christmas presents but it wasn't wrapped up, so we could already see what it was, so me and my sister just opened our packages.

I got some Rilakumma marshmallows (x6), I gave three to my sister.

I got a Rilakumma bag, its so cute! It can be my cosmetic bag for on the go, touch ups.

I got Honey Bee hand cream by Etude House, the packaging is really cute right? The hand cream is in the bottom compartment, you unscrew the top part. I tried some already (applied it to my hand), its not as soft as typical hand cream but has a very, subtle smell.

The last items, I recieved was Minamize Pore mask and Pink mask, by The Face shop. Again, the packaging is kawaii <3.

Do you like my new things?

I also got a body shop Satsuma body butter but I use as a hand cream, it says its for normal skin and I have sensitive skin but being me, I had to try stuff that everyone else is trying so yeah. LOL

Mega Haul+cake sale bakes

This is accumlated from the start of October to November~ shall we start from the most recent buys?

Two Manga volumes (Bakuman 2&4)

My local/s bookstores don't have volume 3, so I just get a synopsis of it and read the actual Manga, when I get a copy.

Accessorize eyeshadow in Shade 3 (Seashell, left side) and Shade 10 (Purple Drama, right side). I tested the colours on my hand and the pigmentation is great, Purple Drama is probaly too much for school. Cosmic stuff is pretty popular now, so I'm glad I can own these cute eyeshadows.

Since there was a 3 for 2 offer, I purchased a eyebrow pencil in shade 2-Darker brown. They only had two shades and I think my eyebrows would feel in a shade between. So never mind.

I got cake deco and here are the ones I bought. I went a little crazy =.=

My mum bought me thise t-shirt from H&M, have you heard of this shop? the fashion there is both trendy and fashionable.

I also bought these butterfly cookies, two weeks ago when I went to an Asian food store with my dad and sister.

Here are the things I made for my cake sale at school, my sister helped with the flavours, its choco cupcakes with marshmallow icing (the first one) or caramel buttercream and brownies.

~Randomness Manga Continued~

Today, I bought a Manga... do you guys know Bakuman? it wasn't cheap, $85 something Hong Kong dollars to Mexican Peso 146.74, I'm not sure of the currency sign, sorry~ also my laptop only has a dollar sign. >.< so I do a HKD currency!

Anyways, I bought the second volume because I visited my book store a few times in my holidays and read the volume 1. It turns out my friend watched the anime and she likes it. I think so. I think its a very interesting story, it has realistic storyline, no fictional creatures and magic. Instead people working hard towards their goal. It gives me hope in my dream too, I also think the characters is likeable.

For me, it is really important that the art work is pleasent and beautiful, I was hugely let down by Nana (Sorry for those that like the manga especially the art work), I found it not very nice, I couldn't read it because I didn't like art work. *thumbs down*

Let me know, what you look for in Mangas? what kind of story you like? and favourite Manga characters?

Manga

Manga, a lot of Manga and Anime fans... well when I was little I used to watch a lot of Doreamon~ and I really like it. I mean who can not love Doreamon, he's so cute and blue!!! Although, he wasn't blue before, he used to be orange with pointy ears. For those, who don't know the story, Doreamon was bitten by a mouse on his ears, he cried so much he became blue. *what is wrong with me, I'm meant to be talking nicely about manga and now we're talking about this*

My favourite mangas are Lovely Complex and Yotsuba and !, I've not read many but Bakuman is becoming a favourite too, so far I've only read Volume 1. I've watched bits of the Lovely Complex anime and I watched the film. I was hugely disappointed with the film, I felt like they cut so many parts out of it :( they should done a drama instead of a film. Then they could of kept loads of the bits in...  basically, I enjoyed the anime more. Just my opinion. The film stars Teppei Kokei of WaT. + plus in the manga 'Mighty' looks really cute! If only he were real.

I read Fruits Basket and enjoyed it, although it's a manga that requires deep focus/full power concentration because there are so many characters and their lives are really complicated. Although, having said this I managed to read 11 or 12 or 15 volumes of Fruit Basket (borrowed from two seperate libraries) and then stopped :( because it was the holidays, this was like 2 years ago and I don't have time to re-read these volumes and carrying on pursing the other books. Maybe I watch the anime if there is one.

Ouran High School Host Club is okay, I like the style and I think Tamaki is funny but its too complicated with too many characters and too many speech bubbles on the page. I was a little confused.

I read bits of Otomen and I didn't like it :( the pictures were nice but the story didn't hold me in. I was a little disappointed. I also don't like Naruto, One Piece, Deathnote etc kind of style 'fictional' monsters maybe I prefer the modern style set in schools or romantic/comedy love lives between the characters.

However, I throughly enjoyed the 'High School Debut' story, I read one volume that's all my library had but I watched the film and it's so good and the guy who plays Yoh (Junpei something~ I'm sorry I forgot his surname) is really cute and looks just like his manga counterpart so thumbs up!

Any recommendations? Do you guys like Naruto, Deathnote or One Piece? >.<

Yesterday~

So with the Olympics going on and everything, McDonalds is doing 2012 Coca Cola glasses with wristband (comes in different colours; red, green, black, white, yellow, blue etc), you can get this glass if you have a large meal or salad, so I went with the large meal (6 Chicken nuggets, large fries and large Coca Cola, honestly if the glass didn't have the 2012 Olympics logo, I wouldn't of eaten a large meal because it's super unhealthy and this is the first time, I eat the large meal), my mum bought for me. Thank You Mum! Moreover, I got the glass but they only had the black or green wristbrand, so my mum chose the green wristband for me!

She also bought me some more of my skin care product 'Eucerin' which is pretty much finished, I use it to wash my face, twice a day (morning and evening), I like the fact that this product is partially bubbly so when I rub into my face, I know I have covered all the areas of my skin, if you cover your whole face its like a white bubbly mask. >.< right now, I can't use the BB Cream or loose powder, I mentioned in a previous post 'Yesterday, Today, Gets, Contacts, Squash' because it might be making my skin irritant.
:( I hope not~

I bought one small thing, a powder brush because the one that I am using isn't very good quality , I hope when my skin clears up, I can start using this brush and seeing if it's any good ^_^

~Okay, I have a question, has anyone read the Bakuman manga? It sound really good, but since manga is a little expensive for me to buy, I wanted to hear what other people had to say? Thank You for reading, enjoy the rest of your day~

Sorry, one last final question, I'm seeing a lot of banners on people's blogs with their blog name like personalised with imagery and pictures and cool stuff and I wanted to know, How can I make one? For people, who don't know what 'Dai Gar Hoi Sum' means, its phonetic Cantonese for 'Everybody be happy' this is just a rough translation! I explain it better in my first ever entry on this blog. Thank You again.

Edit: Does anyone know how to make Gifs? Do I have to use a special software?
