A healthier way to cook instant noodles.

Its been a long time since I posted, a week I think? School has been really busy and leading up too this one week holiday. I have lots of work to do. Anyways, here is a quick post for you all! The birthday post will be up soon too. I'll spilt it into three parts.

Instant noodles usually come in a square/circle brick like form and usually have some coating of wax or something. Honestly, with the noodles already been so unhealthy, we don't want to eat the wax either.

So here is a simple method, that my dad taught me, first boil your water and when its boiled, drop your noodles in the boiling water. Now, instead of putting the soup powder and scallions into the water alongside the noodles. Instead, put the powder and scallions into a bowl and when there's one minute left roughly of cooking time for your noodles.

Boil some water in a kettle and turn off the gas and remove the pot and carefully remove the noodles whilst pouring the excess water away. You'll notice that the water has now become cloudy due to the wax. Place the noodles in the bowl and pour the hot water into the bowl and mix it with the powder and scallions and the noodles.

And now you're done, you can add eggs, ham or a slice of cheese to find the noodles off. Enjoy and let me know if you decide to try this method out.

~Astigmatisim~

Do you know what 'astigmatism' is? It can be both a minor and major problem, although most people have it and can be corrected by special contact lenses or glasses, very few people need to have surgery to correct it.

Well since a lot of people don't know what it is, I will write a little post about it.

It's the simplest way to explain it, Astigmatsim is with the person when they are born, but of course babies cannot tell you that they have 'double-eye vision' or sometimes when they look at things they are unclear, right?

So I guess a parent or the child will not know until the first eye checkup, the optician uses lights and such to check the healthiness of the eyes, I guess they will notify you whether you have it or not, I do and I didn't know much about it until recently.

Some of the symptons that can occur include:

-Double Eye Vision (when you see two of the same objects, I think).

- Instead of light entering your eye at one point i.e. the retina, it scatters across the eye instead. I think it causes me discomfort when its sunny.
-Objects too close as well too faraway can be blurry as well.
-Can result in Short-sightness or Long-sightness. (I am short-sighted, incase you're interested I'm -5).

So take care of the health of your eyes, its very important, after long hours at the computer, stretch your legs, don't watch flashy tv/play games in a dark room, read in well lit rooms.

Go to your optician's regularly, and wearing glasses is not bad, its better to wear glasses then let your eyesight deteoriate. Now, I am trying contacts, 'Toric' Contacts they are used to correct Astigmatism.

☆The Trials and Tribulations of Contacts☆

So basically my optician offers trials for a week for contact lenses, you can keep trying contact lenses until you find the perfect and comfortable one! It also free, so doesn't cost my parents or me anything! Of course, the actual contacts will not be free! ha ha ha~

Moreover, this week trial allows me to feel comfortable in the lenses, of course in the week I do different things e.g. sports, shopping and just resting at home so it allows me to know if the vision and comfort is 100%.

I'm already on my third trial, it's very irritating actually, the first pair was not very comfy, and I decided I didn't want contact lenses after the trial, this was last year, so a year on I tried a new pair of lenses this was last week or the week before? Sorry, I can't remember but the lenses didn't sit on my eyes very well and kept sliding down my eye when I blinked=poor vision, because the contact should sit on the pupil but my contact was half on and half off.

Now, my third pair is feeling more comfy, it seems like it sits on the eye better, I really hope this pair of contacts are the one, I feel embarrassed for myself and the optician when the contacts don't fit plus the optician has to order mine because I have astigmatism! Nothing serious just means the contacts need to be order in.

For me the eyeball is shaped differently like a rugby ball which results in distorted images at a close distance/I think also the refraction of light also does something as well. I'm not too sure.

Tell me what are your opinions? stick to glasses or contacts? contacts are better for my tennis lessons >.<

Good Day :D
