New Haul Post

Hello~ Sorry, for disappearing a lot this year , I will try my best to keep this blog more updated when I move onto my second year. On the topic of that, I have already received my results and know that I have passed my exams and can move onto my second year, which of course makes me very happy.

Some shops are having sales such as Zara, H&M, Topshop, my mum is a big fan of shopping at Zara and I know a friend who likes to buy her trousers, I love a lot of Zara's stuff and the fabric and cuts of their clothes are of good quality. However, its out of my budget so when they had this awesome sale recently (probably, its still going). I decided to check it out and I'm sure I saved a bunch of money and bought nice, good quality clothes.

I bought two simple white/cream t-shirts that are very soft but thin enough for hot summer days, a cute burger print and 'worry less' with a glamorous girl printed on. The burger top is shorter length and better suited for high -waisted skirts/shorts or trousers, unless you want to show your mid-driff. Both t-shirts were priced at three pounds and ninety-nine pence (GBP) and were originally 10+.

A cute white and black striped dress/ long -top, depending on your height this could be a dress for you where you can wear tights and pumps but if you are more of my height (166cm), it will be more of a long top, thus I shall wear it with leggings instead. This fabric is thicker but still soft and comfy, this was priced at ten pounds and was originally twenty pounds.

The last two things I purchased from Zara were two jumpers, the white one with a blue "water" effect (that's what I think it looks like), is a batwing style, and is more over-sized. I'm keeping this jumper for casual formal environments or special events, quite thick and cosy and a more tight-fitted black jumper with "Bonjour gold lettering across the jumper" really cute and comfy, great for comfy, casual days.

Besides Zara, I bought a pair of subtle printed black trousers for formal wear and pineapple mid-length skirt. Trousers very comfy but cost a little bit more than my other purchases it was sixteen pounds, but it will be of great use for all formal events and I won't have to always turn to wearing my black dress, I always prefer trousers more, they are more comfy !!! (Sorry, no picture, I think the trouser is just simple black colour and the pattern wont show up on camera anyways).

Pineapple skirt is really comfy, its high waisted and finishes just before my knees, thin fabric, and cute print, it was eight pounds ^_^

I bought a pair of trainer socks (white) with Super Junior printed onto it, from my fairly local Korean supermarket, that sells some K-pop goods, if you don't know. Super Junior is my favourite boy band in K-pop so had to purchase these socks (price is two pounds (?), and I got my sister a A-Pink poster from their Secret Garden concept).

For skincare, I bought La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + cream which I use has my night cream as it contains no SPF, it is a "fresh gel cream" that absorbs really quickly and glides onto the skin really nice, as for the scent, theres a slight smell which I think is quite pleasant and Physiological Micellar Solution with La Roche-Posay thermal spring water (in short, its a cleansing water that can be used to remove face, eyes and lip make up), the gentleness of using a water based make up remover, means I don't sting my eyes so regularly, and skin feels more refresh after using it ^^ thumbs up... sadly, I can't remember the price of the cream but the cleansing water is fifteen pounds, its suitable for sensitive skin.

Coppertone travel sized UV cut milk (60ml) left side (green label) is SPF 27 PA++ and right side (orange label) SPF 50 PA++, oil free, because of the milk texture is more runny than your average sunscreen but absorbs into skin really quickly (my mum bought this for me), on sale buy one get one free, price is one pounds or ninety -nine pence , quite shocked that its so good but at such a cheap price.  I already opened the SPF 50 PA ++ but I will buy one of the green label one, for when I return to uni, to use during the winter.

For make up, I purchased the Rimmel 24 hour Scandaleyes brown gel liner, comes with a brush (but no cap :(), it applies really well and stays put for several eyes ( I do not have oily eyes, just oily t-zone).

I bought Volume 9 Yotsuba manga, the last time I bought a Yotsuba book was when I went to the hospital to have my tonsils removed, and now I am buying this one, to mark the fact that I can move onto second year successfully.

To end this haul post, my sister bought me this cute Floral notebook which was two pounds and fifty pence from a new shop called Hema, I will fill it with things that happened in the past year, and summer... finally, I can make use of those saved train tickets in my wallet ~ I must go now ^^ have a great day.

Byeeeee~

Sweet Lolita

Hi, I'm back~~~ with another post, this time its about the super cutesy Japanese fashion called Sweet Lolita which is also known as "ama-loli",  if you have ever been to Harajuku or used Japanese fashion websites like Tokyo Fashion. You'll some people (mostly, girls. I presume) in lolita dresses with ribbons and bows and frills, that have cute patterns like teddies or sweets or unicorns on them and with cute accessories that bring nostalogia of the toys and soft toys we played with as kids.

Two of the most popular brands of Sweet Lolita clothing are "Angelic Pretty" and "Baby, the Stars Shine Bright".

Sweet Lolita is heavily inspired by "Rococo style" (which I love) as well as elements of Edwardian and Victorian clothing. Sweet Lolita uses the basic Lolita style then makes some changes such as using lighter clothes such as pastels, lights pinks and purples etc and child-like motifs. A lot of prints on sweet lolita use fruits like cherries or strawberries or other kinds of sugary fruits, flowers like roses and ribbons.

Accessories usually follow a princess-like theme and bonnets, hair pieces and parasols are popular (I really want a parasol, they look so cute and pretty). Bags and purses follow in the same style, I've seen Unicorn shaped bags and fruit shaped bags on the internet before. The same applies for jewelry and all of these use pastel colours and such.

This is the first Japanese fashion that I discovered and its one of my favourite fashion styles, other styles that I like are "Decora", "Visual Kei (of course~~~)" , "Hime Gyaru" and "Gyaru". All of Japanese fashions are really awesome, whilst some fashions are really bright and colourful, others are just one colour scheme (e.g. black) and some focus on a specific them (e.g. medical).

Tell me, what are your favourite fashions? Do you like Japanese fashion? Thank you for reading and I look forward to your comments.

Credits: Some information comes from the internet (various sites), as I wanted to do some more research on Sweet Lolita. Also, none of the pictures belong to me so credits to the owner.I hope the owners don't mind me using their pictures and information that I found on the internet.

^^ see you on my next post^^

Snow+Schoolwork+Cold

Today, I woke up and my sister was leaving the house it was snowing and she was like 'Je' (Jeje= Its what a young person calls a older female), it's snowing and I stumbled at out of bed honestly. I didn't see anything because one it was dark and two I wasn't wearing glasses and half asleep but when I got up, I saw the white blanket of heaven and it was so white and bright (?)

Anyways, it melted quickly and I got to wear my new black hi-tops because my old Lacoste also black with some pink and the bottom was broken and so my feet would get wet on rainy/snowy/non-dry days. So my mum bought them for me, it was on sale 50% off, I think I'll go back next weekend and hopefully, they will have my size in creepers :D I'm not a massive fan of creepers but I think they would look nice with my clothes and some shoes look better once worn compared to on the shelf. Creepers are becoming really popular, huh? I knew it was popular footwear with Jrock fans. :)

I think I might of caught a cold thats going around at school, so I'm trying to wear warm clothes and basically not get sick because I would be frustrated and very annoyed, if I get sick in the upcoming weeks because its almost Christmas. *Yeah, get well soon to me, what is this like my third post about being ill*

Schoolwork is really heavy this year and its making me feel really stressed and pressured, because I have to do well. I want to succeed and do many things in my life. If you read my profile, you'll know I got some ambitious dreams!

Tell me, what do you do at Christmas time? :P

Music Review-Super Lover/Bomb, Bomb, Bomb by MISSter

So this is a music review on a Tomboy (adrogynous) Taiwanese Girl Band 'MiSSter' they consist of five girls Jin, Chiao, Chris, Carol and Milk. Although, Jin left recently, I think back in July, she has decided to become an Artist Manager in Lady Emperor and she also promises to help guide the company to a successful future. MiSSter is not disbanding, they are currently looking for a replacement for her position.

The members have talents in other things besides singing they can dance, some can play instruments, speak more than one language etc~ Its hard to find information about MISSter, Wikipedia should really create a page, anyways I'm sure if you search through the internet you'll find out more.

'Super Lover' is a fast, up-tempo song with catchy lyrics, the MV also has the use of a lot of bright colours specifically Orange, little cartoon animations are used as well, a choregraphy with easy to follow steps (which I believe makes it for fans like me to follow), the band are clothed in simple t-shirts and trousers with colourful jackets that seem to be very popular currently, I think there style allows once again fans to follow because some musicians where fancy clothes that are expensive and not locally sourced in certain countries, for example as much I love Visual Kei it's kinda hard to find the clothes of similar styles to your favourite bands for cheap price right? So I like MISSter's fashion style here.

Let's be honest, how practical would it be for me to wear Versailles costumes like Kamijo or Yuki's or Massashi which I think is a little less complicated and a little fuss-free then Teru ( I need a washboard stomach for that), Hizaki's (gigtanic flowing dress can get in the way), Jasmine beautiful yet eccentric accessoires are not the most convient things~ or the tall hair that X Japan used to have!

I think Taiwanese artists, are also not as popular as Kpop/Jpop but sometimes I think they have more originality, of course everyone has different taste doesn't mean we all love the same music. Just my opinion, I am an avid Kpopper and a devoted Visual Kei fan!

And Bomb, Bomb, Bomb actually I came across this song right at the start of discovering of this song because the song title was not very captivating, but I feel bad for brushing off this song now, its up tempo again, fast-paced with water effects this time, the members are dressed in suits with fashionable acceossire and stylish hairstyles, they also smile warmly and have an edgy dance, the lyrics here are really catchy, both songs contain rapping, which is performed by Jin I think and someone else, it might be Carol? Anyways Carol is my bias, she has kinda soft wavy hair, quite bold eyes and a lovely warm smile!

I'm sorry this review is not great, considering I didn't write a lot about the music, the sites below will have information regarding more about the band, if you like MISSter's music style and dress sense, check out Jing Chang, another female Tomboy/adrogynous female performer of Taiwan, if you want to hear MISSter performing a ballad song then check out 'Clear'.

In order, not to scare anyone, MISSter do have very boyish styles in clothes and hairstyles, minimal makeup, nothing like bright eyeshadow and in the Clear MV Jin has shaved sides on her hair, they are all female and as far as I know, basically respect them!
Credit to the websites, as they allowed me to learn more about MISSter, there is more information on these sites about MISSter especially the first one, the second one explains about Jin leaving.
